Dash light comes on then off

Asked by Guru3M8JJ Jul 17, 2020 at 10:41 PM about the 2007 Ford Escape

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Dash light in my 2007 Ford Escape comes on while
just sitting in driveway??? Have had right rear back
door disconnected because I heard that could be
an issue. Any help with why this happens would be
greatly appreciated.

Do you mean the dome light because you suspect the door ajar switch is activating? Spray all your door latches with WD40, sometime the contacts get dirty and active the door ajar switch and the interior lights come on.

The middle light( dome light) does not come on it’s only one light that comes in and it’s the one in the front that comes on for a few seconds then goes off again?
