My 2006 ford escape stuck in park, no break lights. Already tried BLS, the fuse keeps blowing which leads me to believe there is a short somewhere. All bulbs in back look good, No corrosion. Help! lol

Got a new BLS and installed. Fuse
pops immediately, which leads me to
believe there is a short somewhere. I
still have to check third light, but all
the other lights in the back look
good, checked for moisture and
corrosion.
Tried a trip wire and the break lights
flashed in for a sec, then the fuse
blew immediately.
I think I just need help/steps to take
to find the short.

Check the wiring harness where the most movement takes place. Under the dash where the BLS is located, and in the trunk area. If the harness is run through the trunk lid, inspect that carefully.
Wires by BLS look good. I just started thinking that my rear wiper stopped working about a month ago, even though not directly related to breaks, I would think that all the wiring comes through at one point, maybe something pinched?
That would be my guess. Your wiper motor may have just died altogether though. It may just be a wiper relay. I would start checking that third tail light on the top of the rear door. You will probably find that's where the problem is.
Went to check third light and noticed corrosion inside the hatch where the wiring for the defrosters connects to the window... Wondering if this is all connected somehow....
Yes. That's why your are also stuck in park. Get the third light to work and everything will be good to go.
