Question type: General

I have a 2006 Ford Explorer. The keypad is
not lighting up and doesnt work when I enter
the factory code... has it been disabled or is
it just not working? If not working, how do I
go about fixing without having to spend a lot
of money? Asking bc I locked my keys in the
car this morning and it suuuucckkked!

Sometimes on Ford explorer you can look under the driver's door and the keypad entry numbers are embedded in the metal of the frame. It's not very good for thieves to know this when I wasn't aware until I was told by a local dealer. Makes us feel safe huh?

Why will the 1/2 button on my keyless entry keypad not work on a 2004 Ford Explorer. Have tried using a different keypad but the same button will not work.
