brakes grinding

Asked by GuruHGXGY Aug 15, 2019 at 04:21 PM about the 2007 Chevrolet Cobalt

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I was looking at a 2007 chevy cobalt. i test drove it and when backing up it was
grinding like in a hole and trying to get out of it, the owner told me to pump up
the parking brake a couple of times. that fixed the problem. is this an issue?

Sounds like a sticky e-brake cable or issue with rear brakes. I would have those inspected before purchase.
