Grinding/creaking Noise?

My SUV started making a grinding/creaking noise
when I apply AND release the break and when I'm
traveling at 10mi or less. Noise does not happen all
the time, it starts up after I've been driving for
awhile (about 15mins) and everything's "warmed
up". The shop said my brakes are good but in
another 12k miles I'll need new struts/shocks.
2014 Chevy captiva with 68k miles.

The noise is in the center of my front end. Brakes were looked at and there is nothing wrong with them.

I might clean and lube all the brake caliper parts. A new brake hardware kit might help.
