How do i remove the door panels so that i can switch out the old speakers with new?

Remove any hidden screws under plastic caps, then use a putty knife between the door and the panel to help locate and pry on the plastic retainers- try to pull with your fingers once you can grab it as close to the retainers as possible, and as straight back as possible.

If it's anything like the 2003, there are screws at the bottom of the door and behind the lock. Remove those and the the tweeter grill. Once all screws are removed, pull up at out on the panel, and it should come off.
