GM truck are famous for having the connector at the blower motor resistor over heating and melting the wiring. So, you'll likely need a blower motor resistor (circuit board) and pigtail available at your local GM Dealer. The GM part number for the Connector is 15862656. there are three different resistors available - al depends on your vehicle option 89019088 89019089 and 89019100. By taking in your vin to the GM parts counter, they can tell you the correct one for your truck. the resistor is about 50 to 60 bucks canadian and the connector is 150+ bucks canadian. Both of these parts are located at the bottom right hand side of the HVAC case. the resistor with have 7 wires going to it and two wire coming out of it to go to the blower motor. hope this helps.

Interesting...Does the fan work at all? I ask because your description indicates no air flow or heat at all. Even if the fan is not working, if your HVAC controls are in the vent position and set to warm, the natural air flow through a moving vehicle "should" move some warm air in a limited capacity. This will help until you get the fan issue corrected. "If the fan is operational" and you're not getting warm air, more than likely you have a coolant FLOW problem, not electrical. IF THIS IS CORRECT, check for correct coolant level in the radiator. If that is to standard, check your thermostat for correct function.

If the blower works, then check to see if the flap lever linkages under dash on drivers side have came loose . I fixed my father in laws 99 1500 , it would blow out just in to the dash , no defrost or floor, the air directional flap linkage had came disconected .

My blower motor stopped working just on high and it was the blower motor relay. I would check that.

It's not the blower motor...there is a sensor down there that controls your speeds...they are about 36.00. as I just had this problem..

I just replaced resistor on blower only to find out it's the fan speed knob on the unit .I can catch it just right and the blower comes on
