Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Ok 07 chevy tahoe 113k miles. Never
any problems so far. Raining all day
yesterday and night before...go to
leave and it wont crank. No sounds on
turn over just pure silence, turn the key
back to off and try again and it cranks
right up..every check light came
on...engine, airbags, stabilitrack off
and some more. So I turn it off and try
to get it to crank again and nothing..no
click or clicking. It does have power.
All of my interior lights, radio, and
headlights come on but my doors wont
lock/unlock, windows wont roll up or
down when I push the buttons on the
door panel and also my key fab wont
lock/unlock my doors now that this
happen. I just replaced the battery in
my car less than a year ago so battery
is still good. And the key fab has been
working until after I turned the car off
after getting it to crank then trying to
recrank. Ive read a lot and ive been
pointed in the direction that this may
have something to do with my
electrical board I do believe its called
the epc or epu?? Does that sound right
because some places I read said if its
electrical board you have no power
sometimes.

Did you ever find out what was wrong? My 06 Tahoe is doing the same thing. Doors usually unlock when I put it in park but it has been flaky lately and will unlock if I give it a little gas. Now it wont start at all.

it ended up being my alternator that went out. i finally got it to crank 2 days later and drove it to the nearest shop i could get it to.

Whack the side terminals and cables with a hammer, then tighten them again. If it still doesn't crank remove the one with the starter cable on it and rough up the two cable ends there with a rasp. You might have to file them a little thinner as that bolt is too short.

If you have all your lights, and other stuff it wasn't the alternator. If the alternator quit you would have no power. Watch your lights when you turn the key. They don't dim at all do they. If batt power was going to the starter the lights would dim. It's your starter cable.

Mine is doing this right now, After a whole day of the car in the dealership and them not being able to find anything, I was able to get the car to a parts store and then get it to not start up. Mine gave me the the PO573 error which is Cruise Control /Brake Switch code. I was able to pump the brakes twice to try to reset the switch and got it to start right up. Now we know what the problem is!

Replaced the battery with the old post style battery. Replaced the battery cables. The bolts were loose and were making intermittent contact with ground and the starter bolts were also loose. The truck fired right up.

My 2007 Tahoe just began to do this exact same thing. It was parked yesterday and not driven. This morning I went to start it up and it had all the power but not clicking when I went to start it up. I recently had the plugs and wires changed and a fuel pump relay fixed. But ever since the spark plugs were changed it has been having a few cold start days. Why do I have electricity but no turn over on my car. Radio works lights and windows are all working. Just won't start and no more clicking with I turn the key

my 07 won't even try to crank with the key, turn the key to just on & the lights on dash take a few seconds to come on but the gauges never move. we put new battery in, have had the alternator & starter checked, all good. if we leave the battery plugged up the battery gets drained. we can here a clicking when we turn the key. we've checked all the fues and they are all good. we are going to look at putting in a new BCM cause we have tried everthing else. if anyone has any suggestion please give them to us
