i have an 89 bronco i just HAD THE IGNITON MODULE REPLACED NOW WHEN I HOLD IT AT A STEADY SPEED IT BOGS OUT ON ME FOR A FEW seconds then it all of a sudden gets a burst of energy then picks up again?

sounds like the fuel pump is cloged up or could be the fuel filter, have you ever replaced them?

Could be carb too. After awhile they can get gunk build up & need a good run to clean it out. Where is it driven most? In traffic w/ lots of stop lights etc or any interstate time?

theres was no carb in 89,its an EFI. strat by replacing fuel filter.how old are the plugs and wires.u might need a good tune up.check cap and rotor.
