honda civic engine vibrations

honda civic 2006 100,000 miles. when i crank it in the morning it sounds normal, maybe a little loud. but when it is shifted into reverse to go down the driveway the motors vibrations make a loud growling roar. but as soon as i put it back in drive it goes away any ideas would be appreciated

Bad engine mounts can cause vibration, roughness felt through the steering wheel, and rattles in the dash area. The bad mount will need to be replaced to smooth things out.

I had a Honda Fit come into work with a prob. very simular. Ended up being a huge rock jammed in the rear engine mount. check all engine mounts
