What type of Honda Civic do I have? Is that important for changing the oil?

Asked by Micah May 28, 2018 at 11:33 AM about the 2006 Honda Civic

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My buddy asked me to change the oil in his 2006
Honda Civic and doesn’t know what variant of civic
he has. Is this essential to know how much oil or
filter? If so how do I find out?

Hy: In order to find out exactly what type of Civic he has, go to Google, search VIN Engine Number. It will ask you the whole VIN of the Civic that is usually at the left hand side of the dash inside the car, very near the front glass.
