2005 mustang v6 2dr manuel trans changed the altenator now the red battery light stays on but is charging

Has the battery been tested or replaced?

no it hasnt, i mean i checked the voltage when car was off it was 1257 and when it was running it was 14.4

Interesting......I will do some more research. Are you sure it is a battery light?

Read post number 20 in the link that will follow. You possibly have a wire somewhere behind the engine that has rubbed and shorted out.
