Idles won't turn up ,stumbles and dies, undrivable

Asked by GuruXVNTJ Oct 15, 2018 at 09:18 PM about the 1999 Chevrolet S-10

Question type: General

4.3 99 chev s10, will start after cranking hard and long, then idles smooth, if
you touch the accelerator ,it will buck and stall. Noticed white smoke coming
out of the air intake box when it dies. Almost sounds like it is running
backwards, when it dies.  New cap, rotor, throttle position sensor, crankshaft
poss sensor, coil and ignition module. Fuel pressure is 60 psi. New fuel filter
also. Can the mass air sensor cause this ? Car stores no codes.??? Anyone
have a good idea?

1 Answer

Fuel pressure stays pretty constant at 60 psi. Drops slowly after a while. Like a few minutes.
