Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a new clutch put in with all new
parts. With clutch pushed in I can start
the truck let out the clutch and go. After
that I can't change gears. With truck off
goes into gear fairly easy. I have bled it
out several times and I'm sure no air or
leaks. Any other ideas?

- Installed the clutch plate backwards? (I've done it) - Bent release fork on the Throw-out bearing - Need to adjust the push rod on the slave cylinder - Still has air Your clutch is not releasing - sure sounds like air

I have bled my clutcha lot. i get a firm pedal with about 15 inches of play at top. Is it normal that after i open and close the bleeder valve for the pedal to be really soft for about 8-10 pumps? Then it builds up pressure and seems to hold pressure but doesn't disengage. i'm getting so frustrated.
