I had a very similar experience with cp2004 Chevy Tahoe about 3 -4 years back. Not one mechanic whether chevy/gmc, private or self proclaimed expert kings were able to figure that out. We got used to taking the side roads and when the car started to act up and go nowhere we had to pull over and wait for a bit. Did you figure out your problem yet? Not sure if your vehicle is similar to the tahoe , we didnt have a clutch. finally, after Months of research It was fixed .I may have a solution you can try .

Some people should not write anything if they have nothing valuable to say. Do people write anything just to be ranked? Ignorant...

like the guy that says he has a solution but doesn't mention it , Is the catalytic clogged ? rev the motor and see if exhaust blasts out the back , a 1998 does not have a carburetor
