What size is the Torx screw on the door latch assembly?

This is why you buy a selection. Odds are it is a Torx plus type fastener.

I wish I could tell you, but having repaired a lot of older Fords and Chevy's my suggestion is to go pick up a set of Torx bits, you'll need all the common sizes for various things on these vehicles. Harbor freight has em cheap if you don't need a pro set. Don't waste your time buying them individually at places like the home improvement centers, you'll spend 4x as much.
