I have a 97 Chevy K1500 extended cab 4wd and was told i needed a complete bumper to bumper wiring harness. Does any prior years chevy trucks harness compatible or where can i get a bumper to bumper wiring harness at.

I have never heard of having to rewire a whole truck, what is the problem? You would need a donor truck to do that.

Well for it a month ago from previous and only owner. He had put led lighting in front and I've had Alot of electrical issues with the thing. Had new battery, starter and just now a new fuel pump instAlled and still dying. Was told it needed a complete wiring harness in the thing.

What in the world would led lighting do to the electrical system? I just can't see that. Have you had it scanned for any trouble codes?

Who on Earth is telling you all this and he's probably right coded first some people just want to charge or maybe you should ask him what wiring harness there's all kinds in atruck or car

LED lighting sometimes runs at a different voltage rating and old factory wiring isn’t compatible without also installing some sort of voltage regulating module ( I forget exactly what it’s called ). But if your dead set on replacing whole harness. Painless Wiring has aftermarket wiring solutions.

so the other day i moved my 1997 chevy k1500 in my driveway and put my plow on then let it run for a while. I came bacj to it about 30 mins later and it was dead. I tried to crank it but got nothing. after going over everything replacing coil icm ecm crank sensor cam sensor plugs wires complete distributer from cap to oil pump . I have spark but when it it reaches distributer i get no spark to wires. Any ideas? I have never seen this before, im at a loss, please help!! 7 Answers
