my 96 s10 has a blown engine. i have a 98 sonoma with a 2.2l also but it has a bad trans. can i straight swap the motor into the 96 s10?

both r 2.2l with a five speed trans

to do so u wud need to cut hole in the floor for the gear shift and the obvious of mounting the clucth to the firewall. there shud be some holes there to do so but not always.but yes it can be done in fact i just put an 89 4 cyl in a 91 s10. fits beautifully
