How do i tell if my truck is the silverado or cheyenne? 1993 c1500, 350 tbi, 4 speed automatic, singlecab shortbed?

Its a GMT400 platform truck and the trim level is not stated so your best bet is too check your VIN number and decode it on one of the VIN decoder sites. But the Silverado had all options or most all options but yet the Cheyenne could be ordered with some of those too and of course anyone could put Silverado parts on it too.

Just like a 1998 ford I own is a standard work truck pickup but was ordered with every option but power windows & locks. Paint, cloth interior, stereo system, speakers, graphics, chrome wheels & bumpers, A/C, Automatic, Carpet, split seats, factory tinted glass, tow package, ect.

The reason why ordering it that way is because I did not want power locks or power windows or seats, as those power options on others owned before seem to always fail. Like in summer your window will not go down one day or the seat gets stuck to far one way or the other or the locks stop working so the only option I had was to order the basic truck and add the options I wanted. So yours could be a standard work truck or cheyenne or the silverado.

Is this a recent purchase? What's the vin#? Have you tried verifying with the cars history report or registration?

The best and easiest way to tell what you've got is to look at the front faceia of the truck. On the GMT400 series of trucks from 88-2000 the grill and lights will be different depending on if its a Cheyenne or Silverado. A silverado will have rectangular lights top and bottom. A Cheyenne will have quite large square top head lights while the bottom ones will be smaller rectangular. Another dead give away is the interior of the truck. Typicly Cheyennes will have what is considerd lower end work elements. So stuff like rubber flooring, full bench seats, manuel crank roll down windows. Silverado was considerd to be the higher end lifestyle truck so it will more modern and more comferts. So like motor roll down windows, captains chairs (depending on year), and carpet flooring. These are the most obviouse.
