Hi My Totoyota Carolla is 2006 Model and i am facing problem in regards to the AC, especially during noon time, AC is functioning properly during night and early morning, can you pls guide me.

Definitely agree with Tom. The Air Conditioning system is reliant on the refridgerant in the vacuum tubes to absorb the heat from the air, and uses the fan to pump that into the cab of the vehicle. If the refridgerant (R134-a usually) has not been recharged for several years, it could be that at that time of day the A/C is not working hard enough to absorb that heat. I recommend taking your car to a CERTIFIED shop to have the air recharged. The recharge kits at the Auto-Parts store do not test for vacuum leaks and can be dangerous to your health, and to others. Pay the $49.95 and have a professional look at the system.

It is important that you as a consumer knows exactly what your rights are.......Toyota has issued a Technical Service Bulletin indicating that the A/C condenser is not properly protected the number for this report is AC002-06. However, Toyota has redesigned the Corolla to correct this in 2007 by properly protecting the A/C condenser leaving the 2005-2006 customers in the dust. Please contact Toyota if you have this issue at 1-800-331-4331 or customerservice@toyota.com and tell them that you demand total replacement of the A/C condenser and full protection. Then go to www.nhtsa.dot.gov/ and lodge a vehicle complaint to force a recall. Remember in the southwest this is a health hazard because of the extreme heat.
