Looking at the picture, I think that the color is silver and not gold. Are you sure that you have the right color code? In the Camry, the color code is in the label located on the driver side door jamb. It consists of two numbers and a letter or three numbers, for example 1G3 (Magnetic Gray Metallic), 776 (Aloe Green Metallic).
Hi Jorge As I said I got colour code is 583 I had seen under the burnate (you can see in the picture as well) And can we fix this ourself or what do you think? Thanks
I cant see nearby the driver side door but I can see inside the burnate so I am prity confident colour code is 583( As paint is 583 mentioned there) Please suggest me with what is this exact colour. As I found 583 is Stain Gold so I am not asure with that. And suggestion with what tools I need to fix it up will be helpful for me Thank you so much Jorge
Yes, I see the color code in the picture, it is 583, Satin Gold Metallic. Some times the name of the color is not necessarily what we see however, looking closely at the pictures and the chip in the color chart, it still looks more of a silver. Have you had the car since new? I am thinking that maybe the actual color is not the original one. Why don't you go to an auto part and look for the duplicate touch up paint to see if it matches? My friend recently fixed and painted the front bumper of my car, he has experience and sanded the entire bumper, applied a thin layer of fiberglass, sanded it again, applied a gray base and then applied the clear coat paint. Perfect job. At the very least you will need a few sheets of sand paper and spatula to apply the compound.
Hi Jorge Thank you somich for your suggestion. BTW i bought it from someone so I dont know about the actual colour in very first beginning . And you talked about your friend . Where is he now? Where are you from ? If we are close I can take this car to him Thank you :-)
My friend did it for me but that is not his line of work. If there is a car body shop near you, take it to them for a repair estimate, it is better to pay for a job that we don't know how to do.
