why does my '05 toyota solara sle struggle to start?

Asked by nancyg95 Sep 26, 2015 at 01:18 AM about the 2005 Toyota Camry Solara

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My '05 Toyota solara sle struggles to start. I turn the key and all the lights
come on, sometimes it makes no noise before it starts, while other times it
sounds like it is having a hard time starting. It even changed my radio station
and clock when doing so. What is wrong with it? A little background I gave my
boyfriends car electricity a few days ago and he drives a '98 honda prelude
with quite a few mechanical problems of its own.

May not be one in the same, have your battery losd tested for free at an auto parts store like Auto Zone and ask if they can test your alternator to see if it's putting out the correct amount of amperage. That may be your issue, take it one thing at a time....
