Hi, I own 2 of them from both 2000 models. One has 355,000 km and the other 260,000 km. They are serviced regularly, mostly oil changes. As I have never had any major issues with them. I live in Burlington, ON and own a cottage in the Laurentians near Mt Tremblant, Qc, approx. 700 km one way and I do the return trip several times a year. Neither one off the Echo has ever let me down. They are extremely reliable. As a matter of fact when the time comes to replace the one that's on its way to 400,000 km I will be looking for a 2005 model as I am totally satisfied with them. Btw my son also drives an Echo, a 2005 with over 200,000 km. If your car has been trouble free and would not hesitate to take it on a long trip. These cars are awesome, I know :-) :-) :-) Have a safe trip across Canada. Cheers, Bob Burlington.
