How much to replace the timing belt by a dealer?

How much do dealers normally charge to replace the timing belt on the 2000 Toyota Avalon?

Hello, The part itself is not expensive. I would estimate between $100-$300 depending on the dealer and if any of the related parts (e.g. the tensioner) need to be replaced. Best of luck! CarGrrl

Not sure re: the Avalon.....but my 2000 Solara was quoted at $268.00 for the part.. The biggest expense is the labor. Not including the Water Pump and Tensioners.replacement I have received quotes between $375.00 to $425.00. For the other two included $1000.00. Based on input I'm going to replace all of them.
