99 Toyota Camry won't warm start

Asked by Ann Jun 21, 2018 at 02:27 PM about the 1999 Toyota Camry

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 99 Toyota Camry 3L 6 cylinder. When I start the engine first thing in the
morning, the car starts right up.  If I stop the car and turn off the engine and try
to restart the car, it won't start until it has set for at least an hour.  The engine
will crank, but will not turn over.  Once the car starts, it runs very well.
I have replaced the battery and fuel pump.

Try using carb and chock spray. It worked in my 98 just a week ago. I took off rhe air filter to get to the carb. Sprayed into a triangle looking piece on metal part reconnect the hose started my car up seconds after spraying and my car still runs. Mu machanic told me the sensor was dirty and the spray cleaned it.
