My mom is looking to buy a car, a Toyota Corolla XE Saloon RHD but the thing is that it is 13 years old (1998). I've heard that Toyotas over 20 years old are still good, especially the Corolla. this particular one is in great condition, no rust, no dents (I think) and I don't know if this beauty is still reliable. is it still a reliable car for 13 years of age?

It should still be a solid car granted that it has no leaks or extremely high mileage such as 250k+. I'd be sure to check all the fluids and framework for flaws. Take it for a test drive and see if there are any strange noises or any quarks that seem out of the ordinary.

well, the thing is that it's out in Africa, and we're in Canada, but we know the people who are selling this car, and I guarantee they wouldn't sell us a lemon, and I've only heard good things about Toyotas (my dad owns one, a 2009 Corolla LE) from their owners. The only bad thing I've heard about Toyota was the Accelerator pedal issue, but this car isn't affected by that (I think you already know that)
