Timing belt or chain?...if belt what mileage for a change?

Your '97 Camry has a timing belt, and Toyota recommends that you change it after 60,000 miles, bdoon. You can find lots more useful info on changing timing belts on Hondas and Toyotas here: http://www.aa1car.com/library/2003/us70343.htm. Hope that helps!

i jut bought a 1998 toyota camry, it has 119000 miles I dont know if the timing belt was changed, is there a way to find out.
