so did you get it in time? did you try and spray any fuel/carb cleaner into the intake/tb? does it want to start then for a few seconds?

What engine in this Vehicle? Why did you replace the distributor?

Ok.....suggestion. remove the distributor cap and have some one crank the engine. Does the rotor rotate? If Yes...take your 12 volt test light and ground the alligator clip to the negative post of the Battery. Take the probe..point of the TL and probe the negative side of the ignition coil...that would be (-) side of the coil. Have some one again crank the engine over. The TL should blink on and off. We have just checked the Computer...the ignitor...and the pick up coil in the Distributor. So..you should have spark at the spark plugs. Do you have spark coming out of those SP wires when everything is back together?

i also have a new battery because lite was coming on and off a few weeks ago while on a long trip 5000 Kls

OK...if you have spark coming out of those SP wires I would pull all the Spark Plugs and check them for fouling. Also ...pull the engine Dip Stick and feel and smell for gas. If you smell gas in the engine oil...the problem is Over Fueling the engine.

So...194m....did you ultimately fix the problem with this vehicle?
