You can load that truck till it's squatin' hard , I've had 2200 pounds on a 1/2 ton POS dodge truck and it didn't seem to mind
Look for tags by door and look for 'gvwr', that tells u capacity. To go to far beyond could have repercussions. That's why they have it posted. Also that's people and equip.
The official capacity is around 1,600 pounds depending on body style etc.
