My 1994 Toyota Camry ignition switch will not go into the lock position and my shifter will not lock into park. I can tap it with my hand not using the release button it will come out of park

when i turn my car off ignition switch will not go into the lock position. My
shifter does not lock into park. I can move it out of park without with pressing
the release button. What could the problem be?

You may have to disassemble the Center Console to diagnose this issue. There is a shift interlock solenoid and a small electronic module involved. Might be best to have a pro diagnose this issue.
