I have a 64 corvette with the 327/365 hp option. My problem is when I start the car and drive a short distance it acts as though the battery is dead. If I let it sit for an extended period then it will fire up again. Help. Thanks

stater bind, replace starter, i know this , i have a 64, same problem.

Your starter is drawing extra amps when engine is hot. Its harder to turn over when hot and needs to be replaced, especially if it has the stock high compression. You can have it rebuilt also.

Hey all. I have a 1975 Corvette C3. I just did something stupid. I pulled my alternator to have it checked; however I did not disconnect the battery. As I disconnected the battery cable from alternator, it arc'ed badly. After having the alternator checked, upon reinstalling it, I have no power at all.
