why is my car spitting out fluids when i try to start it?

Maybe it is sick? Just had to say that. What fluids are coming out when trying to start?
I have replaced the hoses, and there is a small leak coming from where i think the water pump is.
Care to take over there Tom? I don't mind, I need to go. Water pump is a good possibility.
The water pump is what I'm thinking because the car would overheat before. maybe it it gave out..bt im not sure..
Well I have a minute, Tom must be tied up. Water pumps have a weep hole that the fluid would leak from, but the over heating usually is low coolant. The water pump could leak and still function. If you find this to be the case when you are in there it is recommended to replace the timing belt as well since it is right there.
Thank you. So could the water pump be the cause for it to spit out the coolant when i try to start it? Just want to make sure before i start taking everything apart.
It is easiest to have the system pressurized with a tool, and look for the leak. A shop can do this just to check it out.
so if its a pressure problem do you think it could be due to the cap seal or idk whats its called is wore out and not covering it right?
ok bt Tom and Rowefast what do ya'll think is making the coolant spit back out when i try to start the car?

This sounds like a 2 person diagnosis. Why not have someone start this vehicle and someone else look carefully under the hood for this "spitting" coolant leak? Then...let her warm up to normal operating temperature...shut her down and WATCH. A fast pressure build-up upon start up usually means a bad HEAD GASKET. Tom/Rowefast....what do you think?
I figure put a pressure gauge on it and figure out where it is coming from. No guessing involved.
ok cause i did what lastchancegarage said..only thing is if i dont hold the key until it starts..then it wont start. then when i try to crank it again it spits more coolant out from the radiator cap..mind you the radiator cap is on and closed right..

OK....as noted above ....you need to have a cooling system pressure test on this vehicle. During this test...the equipment can be used to check the Radiator Cap...and...the HEAD GASKET. When the proper gauge is attached...one can monitor pressure build up when you start this vehicle. If the gauge is attached correctly....it will not allow any spitting from the radiator cap...the cap is replaced by the CORRECT gauge...pressure builds up to the normal operating pressure as noted on the cap...and leaks are therefore pinpointed. If you see NO LEAKS....then one would check for a bad heater core...or...bad head gasket.
