I have a 2006 Toyota Camery Hybrid, my sister i law was driving it the other day and she said it overheated while driving it, she kept driving till it died, and she continued coasting as far as she could on a mountain road, it was taken to a local gas station and parked, when I got to the car, the radiator cap was blown off , so I tried to refill the coolant , but it leeked out I looked to see ware it was coming from, it seems to be from the water pump, as well I opened the the oil cap, and the oils smells burnt and the color is dark brown? While I was looking at the engine I had my son press the ignition button, when the engine tried to start I saw a puff of smoke come from the exhaust manifold area and then the engine stopped, what could be the possible problems

Opps that does not sound good. Hopefully just a blown head gasket but could be much worse.

Possible bad water pump to start with, now being she kept driving it,you have blowed head gasket and or intake gasket, and possibly haed damage to your engine.

Dang I was going to fix my typos but it saved and locked me out. Anyway, she would be extremely lucky if she gets away with just blown head gaskets. Is water coming out of her tailpipe? She blew the engine and it's probably locked up. She should never have driven it AFTER it ran out of water. That's like leaving an empty pot on the stove-- things are going to get really hot, really quick and start burning things up.
