HOW CAN YOU TELL IF A DELRAY IS A DELRAY/IMPALA OR NOT

IT HAS A 348 MOTOR IN IT AND USED TO HAVE A 3 SPD. ON THE WHEEL BUT HAS BEEN MOVED TO THE FLOOR.

get vin number and start at dealer,i never knew of a impala with 348, eather 327 or 350.

Agreed, or the GM Historical Services Department can print you up some original info for around $75.

Count the tail lights(; The sheet metal of the rear quarter panels is quite different on the two models

Delray was first built in 1958 and you could get one with a 348 and three on the tree

I think that was first year 348 I saw someone one said 327 or 350 I know 62 was the first year 327 and I think 68 or 69 was the first year for the the 350 so 283 would have been small block you could get or a 265 ? Not sure about 265 and a stairt 6 for sure
