I've replaced my low coolant sensor and the light is still coming on what would cause this

You may need to replace your coolant temp sensor located on the engine, depending on the model, it may be located in the thermostatic housing or nearby, on some models it may be threaded into one of the cylinder heads or a water inlet line, on some models this can control your electric cooling fan and if not functional, cause an overheating problem.

Make sure and purge the air from the cooling system.

If you have a coolant reservoir there is a switch located usually on the bottom of reservoir. It works with a floating valve attached to the switch mechanism, Over time, the floating valve can get stuck in debris within the reservoir. This happened to me and the low coolant light keep coming on repeatedly. Repair included removing coollant reservoir held and thoroughly whashed out reservoir with hot water and dish washing detergent and shook reservoir vigorously several times until you hear a clicking sound, THIS means the float is now working and can send a signal to turn off the lDIC low coolant message with switch closure once the reservoir is filled to the cold level. It works fine now on my 1999 Corvette..Be sure to rinse soap out well with warm water one you hear the clicking sound before you re-install the ollant reservoir. Hope this helps.
