I have a 1983 Toyota Celica GT Convertible. I understand Toyota didn't make a convertible in 83. I understand they sent some to a Co. in Calif. called Matrix. I have the Matrix sticker on my driver side door panel with the serial number. Can anyone give me more info on this?

Hi mwinc, I have only found reference to a company called American Specialty Cars (ASC) that made convertible Celica GT-S models starting in 1983. I find no reference to Matrix doing this for Toyota. http://www.ascglobal.com/ Hope this helps!

I appreciate your answer. I'm just wondering why the Matrix sticker is on my door panel.

I have a 84 GT with the matrix convertible, also looking for info. principal1@gatewaycs.org
