I owned an 84 that I purchased new. I don't believe there was such an option in that year. I could be wrong as it's been a long long time but that car had a pretty rough suspension on it already. I think that the performance suspensions were made optional in the later years that the car went through softening changes due to complaints about the ride.

OK THANKS BUT WHEN I GO TO THE CAR PARTS STORE AND CORVETTE CENTRAL TO BUY A RACK AND PINION FOR THE CAR THEY ASK WHICH IT HAS.ON CORVETTE CENTRAL THEY SHOW 2 DEFFERNT ONES WITH CODES AFTER THEM THERE ARE NO PLATES ARE STICKER LEFT ON THE CAR THAT THE DEALER SAID WOULD TELL ME WHICH IT HAD
I think the suspension is different on the Grand sport.
Ok. I looked it up for you. There was indeed a Z-51 performance suspension system. Not many sold but they were available. There was no Grand Sport model in 1984. As far as knowing what your car has, get the VIN and go here: https://store.corvettemuseum.com/services/buildsheet.asp It'll cost a few bucks but probably worth it for you.
