Dear deanmouse-- Usually when towing a 4WD, like your 1978 Chevy Blazer, you have to make some minor modifications. Your Chevy dealer will confirm this, but I think you put the vehicle in park and then you put the transfer case into neutral. Please consult your Chevy dealer before you do this. Some vehicles do not have a transfer case that will go into true neutral and the rear drive line has to be disconnected at the differential. Not a simple task for an amateur. Good luck from Bovan.
