what size tire do I need for an old 1985 Chevy Blazer

Asked by RLou1 May 31, 2014 at 01:20 PM about the 1985 Chevrolet Blazer

Question type: Shopping & Pricing

Old 1985 Chevy Blazer and I'm looking for used tires. New tires would cost more than the
vehicle is worth!  The vehicle belongs to my teen son so I don't want to spend a lot of
money on tires.  What size should I look for?

They used two different sizes depending on the model. 215/75R15 and 235/75R15. Look in the drivers door jamb and there's a label with the tire sizes on it. If it's a 4wd make sure you have all the same size or you'll mess the drive line up.

Is it an s10 blazer or full size blazer? 235/75r15 can be found cheap. Goodyear wrangler radials are about $80 a tire. Sometimes walmart has them on sale

Don't cut cost on tires This is your son . Drive hard . I did , good tires will last . And are better in the rain ,and fast stops .ect.
