I have an 82 with very few miles on it, and about 8 years ago, the computer failed. A mechanic that i know put 1980 carburetor, and distributor on it, and did away with smog stuff. Car runs excellent now. Of course the engine will alway have a slight vibration because it is an odd-fire engine, with only three crank throws on it. You would not beleive the difference in the running of it without the smog crap. The other post about the converter is very true too. Someone took mine off before I got the car, and Here in Alabama, they don't care. Some states won't let you change it.
