What year is was the recessed headlights available.
I purchased a 74 L82, and one of the things the previous owner did was to remove the flip up headlights and install recessed units. Personally I am going to reinstall the originals. But I was curious when this option was available.

Sorry, Mike, but I can't find any evidence that recessed headlights were an official option on the Corvette for any year. But Rik's Corvette Parts (http://www.riksvet.com/) in North Carolina offers recessed headlights as two different parts, one for 1968 - '74 Corvettes, and the other for 1975 - '82 'vettes. Hope that helps!
The other owner shopped at Rik's, so that would more then likely be the correct answer. I do know some about earlier vette's, and personally I never came across something like this. Thankyou
This option of recessed headlight was never an option on Corvette. They are all aftermarket installs.
