I have a 1976 Ford F-150 Ranger Extended cab new a new engine the current one is a 390 Block 6.4l where should I start to look a new engine and what other years are compatible?

what other engines can I use? Where should I start? I owed the truck about 6
months and also have wires that have to be traced. But wanted to start to look
for engines. Thanks for any help.

All About Auto in Virginia Beach, Va. 757-404-2192. Great engine guy. He found and put an engine in my husbands 1989 Ford pick and he found it quick and his labor is very reasonable. He is has a great reputation and does all types of work.
