1977 F150 Custom numbers match , one owner. Looking to upgrade to a
resto-mod state. I want to upgrade from the tired 1977 c6 to a modern O/D

Some things to consider. The bolt up pattern is only the first. The replacement transmission will have to be one which is not computer controlled, as your 77 is not equipped for it. The length of the replacement transmission has to be exactly the same length as the one being removed. Else the drive shaft will be long or short when trying to reinstall. I suggest you contact a national reseller of remanufacturered transmissions and make an inquiry as to what will drop in, and what will function properly.
