Truck won’t move

Asked by Tderb Oct 15, 2018 at 05:09 PM about the 1979 Ford F-150

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I used my truck few days ago and
had to use 4 wheel.   I left hubs
locked in while it just sat outside but
took it out of 4 wheel gear.
I went to drive it today and I unlocked
hubs and I put it in gear and it will not
move.   It grinds in park.  I messed
with the 4 w gears to make sure they
was out and it will actually move in
them gears but hubs were not locked
in and I don’t need to drive it in 4
wheel.  Just need it to drive in 2
wheel regular everyday driving.  Just
won’t go.

Try shifting the transfer case. Sounds like it is not all the way into 2 high.
