Lift Kit

hello my Redneck friend, the question is not how big can you go before you have to lower or tilt the trans, the question is how big can you go before you have to get special parts. speical parts such as rockwell axles or drop box style transfercases. This is because of driveline angles and making your driveshaft last. A 6" lift kit can be bought from many offroad companies and can be rather affordable, it should allow you to clear up to 35" of rubber. if also going to bigger tire size you will need to change your gears to match. A 10" lift can be done but it's recomended to get high angle drve shafts. And any kit bigger than 2" should come with new mounts for the beams As for powering up the 302, headers and exhaust can be done cheaply, and for a few good extra Hp and trq you should check out getting a HO intake for/from a mustang. A full msd ignition system replace and some e3 plugs will give ya a better bang in the cylinders and certain ones are tunable. Good luck Joe
If ya want less trouble id stick with ur truck bein lowered cause aint no good comes outta a big truck except girls and good looks but ya lose mpg, the trans engine gets put under stress im sure ur gonna go mud boggin in it but buddy it aint worth it just do what you want to do but ill tell ya itll cost money and can cost ur truck eventually
