Wiring on Heater Resistor Module

Asked by ronzara Dec 05, 2006 at 01:00 PM about the 1986 Ford Tempo

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My mother-in-law resently purchased an 86 Ford tempo. The blower motor wa not working. Upon further inspection, I noticed the wiring was removed from the Heater resistor Module (and the connectors were missing). This was (in my opinion) someones attempt to bypass a bad module.
I have purchased a new module, but have NO IDEA which wires attach to which prongs on the blower side (2 wires) AND the switch side (5 wires,If I remeber correctly_the car/new module are not here).

Can anyone tell me what color wire goes to what prong???
Thanks a Million!

Because this is an older car, there is not much available online. I would highly recommend visiting an auto parts store and buying a Haynes or Chiltons Service Manual. These cost less than $20 and are definitely worth the money.
