Question type: General
I own a 1960 Tbird, I would like to replace the engine with a rebuilt or new one.
Which would you recommend.

I recommend a rebuild of the original engine. Your car is more valuable that way.

THE ORIGINAL 352 ENGINES ARE NOT VERY GOOD. FOR MY 1960 T-BIRD. I AM INSTALLING A 390 ENGINE STROKE TO A 434. WITH A C6 ALUMINUM TRANSMISSION. THE CRUISEOMATIC TRANSMISSIONS NAVE A CAST IRON CASE. YOU CAN CRACK THE CASE. FORD MADE A C1 TO A C6 TRANSMISSIONS. ONLY THE C4 AND THE C6 ARE ALUMINUM. I DO HAVE MY 352 ORIGINAL ENGINE. WILL NOT INSTALL IN T-BIRD.
