Convertible top

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 1965 Ford Thunderbird convertable. The top just work when h Car is
on neutral. Before did work on palrk or neutral. Anybody know what is my
problem? thanks

Maybe the top operation is tied into the neutral safety switch.

I am looking at the shop manual and they say “transmission selector is placed in the neutral or park position “. If a place in park nothing happen.

I think the switch needs adjustment.

I could find it by looking around but since I do not have eyes on it I suggest a T Bird forum for that question.
