1966 thunderbird; all tail lights and headlights work but interior lights, map lights and
any other lights on the interior or in the trunk are not functioning. i know the bulbs work
but the actual lights won't work. this started happening after i took the driver side door
panel off to  place back on correctly. five minutes before they worked fine with the
battery hooked up and everything but now after i put the door panel back on and hook
the battery back up they won't function what is my problem can anyone tell me
anything? please some good advice would be much appreciated.

Wow, been a while since I worked on a '66! Sold my old Mustang about 20 years ago. I would say that it's that little pin with spring loaded head that your door hits against when closed. When you open the door, it usually let's the pin extend out, which makes your dome light come on. Or it is the switch on your head lights. You know when you spin it one way to turn on your interior lights? Has to be one of the two. I assume the fuses are all good?
