where is the blower motor (heater) for a 1970 ford thunderbird located

I agree with Jim on this one. You'll most likely have to remove the inner fenderwell to access it. You'll need either a hand or air rachet with a 1/2" and a 9/16" socket and alot of elbow grease. Spray all your bolts down the night before with some PB Blaster (available at Home Depot) if any are rusty. It will save you some grief. You also might want to purchase a 1970 Ford shop manual set either in original paper or now available on CD-Rom. That procedure should be listed with explicit directions of what and what not to remove. Here's Ford's original illustration of the breakdown of the heater assembly with heater blower motor. If it's squealing when running, the squirrel cage is loose on the shaft and will have to be replaced. Any radiator shop should be able to oreder you the replacement parts that you need. Most autoparts stores only go as far back as 1988 though Pepboys does go back to 1968 on some of their parts. Anyway, Here's the illustration, Hope it helps. Any other questions, just ask. The blower motor is out in my 1977 thunderbird will that affect anything as far as how it runs
